At Grúas Aguilar, we successfully carried out a complex lifting and vessel-loading operation involving a Liebherr LHM 250 mobile harbour crane at the Port of Seville. This project highlights our ability to execute heavy-lift and specialized lifting operations in demanding port and industrial environments.
A highly complex technical operation
The project involved the lifting and loading of a Liebherr LHM 250 mobile harbour crane weighing 268 tonnes onto a vessel for subsequent transport to the Port of Pasaia (Gipuzkoa, Spain).
To perform this operation, we deployed two of the highest-capacity mobile cranes in our fleet:
- Liebherr LTM 1750-8.1, operating at a 16-metre working radius.
- Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1, operating at a 15-metre working radius.
Both cranes worked in perfect synchronization during a tandem lift, enabling the crane to be safely raised and accurately positioned aboard the MV Meri for maritime transport.
Planning, safety and coordination
Due to the complexity of the operation, a detailed engineering study was carried out in advance, including load analysis, working radius calculations, equipment selection, and coordination of every stage of the project.
Our technical team carefully designed each aspect of the lifting operation to ensure maximum safety throughout the loading process. Thanks to meticulous planning and the expertise of our operators, the project was completed smoothly, on schedule, and in full compliance with the highest safety standards.
